"Hipster" era

Oh maan the rise of the hipsters was a huuuge trend in the past 5 or so years and although it got annoying pretty fast, I think it left us with quite a message. However, it is not very socially acceptable anymore to call someone a "hipster" or have "deep" pictures on your instagram profile with a B&W filter and some song lyrics added to it. Or is it?

The message hipsters brought us all was:  simplicity, and being different and original. I strongly believe hipsterdom became "so mainstream", because people started appreciating the little and unseen things in life. They promoted the open mindedness and contributed to the population of nonjudgmental people.

The fact, that this was then taken advantage of by the rest of the population, was the start of the "white girl" label. Taking pictures of your food in a hidden cafe somewhere as a form of rivalry towards your other friends, claiming that you are more "hipster" and "going with the flow" than them; making sure, that every time you go to starbucks, you make a memory of it by letting at least one of your social media know. Sounds familiar? Then cut the crap and appreciate, rather than promote. Because that's the company's job you fucktards, they pay a lot of money for marketing and by doing what you are doing, you just become one of the sheep in their wolf packs.

Although social media haven't been the best thing that has ever happened to society, I still appreciate the community the internet has created. My point being, when things became taken advantage of with hipsters, the internet used its weapon of trolling, and talked some sense into these people. However, I am not saying that this is the best path to take, but it does create some sense of hope and balance between the bullshit and the things that really matter.

Don't get me wrong, I do love hidden cafes, that serve pumpkin lattes with macarons!

I also love the dandelions that grow in our back yard and I got really sad, when they were cut off by the lawn mower but GUESS WHAT THEY'RE BACK THE NEXT DAY!!

I am so hipster...

Educational quote to end with:

"Never believe everything they say on the internet"
