FamJam

So as you know, I am a stay-home mom with 3 kids and an inflatable husband.

Now let's get down to some seriousness..

I have lost a lot of family quality time in the past few years, and it wasn't because of school. Therefore, I decided to dedicate this gap year mostly to my family, who I have abandoned, yet we still lived together under the same roof. I didn't really understand it at that time, but now I know how valuable the importance of family is.

As we grow up, we also grow independent slowly, but surely. We start our own social lives, relationships, interests, working our ways towards our dreams (says me, who's currently translating google texts). Sometimes we just gotta stop and look back and enjoy how your sister puts your precious lactose-free whipped cream on your door handle to prank you and even though you are furious, because lactose-free whipped cream is a gift from the gods and your door handle is still sticky when you touch it; she's still my sister that came up with this and some day, I will look back and laugh....and then publish all her snapchats on her wedding day.

Anyway, my point is, that this year, I have only celebrated my birthday with my family. Including the little diaper shitting children and the dads drinking beer. And I must say, I have never been happier, not even when I got closed in the McDonald's fridge while looking for my ice cream cake on my 8th birthday. At the end of the day, only family is known to be there for you whatsoever and are the most significant people in your lives (plus the love of your life of course and your pet pug that you named after some sort of food). And although nothing ever is or going to be perfect, you can be sure that your 4 year old family member boy cousin cursing about not finding batteries into his toy will put a smile on your face.

Also, who else would you trust more with your snapchats, than your sister? amirite

Educational quote to end with:

"Do piče, nikto nemá baterky! / Fuck this shit, nobody has batteries"

- legit words from my cousin's 4 year old mouth
